Bronx International (Morris) High School required exterior masonry replacement, window replacement and reinstallation, as well as a copper roof replacement and gym floor replacement.
Masonry work was to be done with due care and attention to the historic landmark status of the building.
As the works were progressing, the School Construction Authority demanded that Whitestone Construction Corp. expedite their schedule in order to remove a significant portion of the scaffolding and sidewalk bridge a full 10 months in advance of the original plan. In order to accommodate this, WCC increased manpower significantly, in addition to coordinating the speedy delivery of materials. All the while, work continued efficiently, maintaining exceptional quality control.
Whitestone Construction is still on pace to complete the project on time, despite the excessive amount of design changes the project has incurred.
Expert knowledge in this type of masonry replacement allowed WCC to project significant problems and subsequently solve them, keeping the project on track without unnecessary delay.
